I was drawn to the testimony that you gave at our church a few years ago. I don't think God woke me up at 4am so that I could be the only one who would listen to this again. I think He wants you to be reminded again that He indeed has freed you from so much. The enemy is trying to make you forget and discount the power of God. God's power is not reliant on people, although He tends to work through them. God's power is solely reliant on His ability and our permission. You don't need me sitting there to encourage you, although I would fly over just to give you a hug if I could.
Please take the time to listen once more to your own voice declaring the goodness of God. You did risk in the telling of secret things. But, I think you were supposed to; not for the listener's sake but for yours. You gave God permission by confession to move on your behalf. Your counselor(s) were only the avenues that He supplied in the moment for that to happen. You were not foolish in doing that; you were faithful.
I want you to remember the picture of God detaching the umbilical cord from your birth mother and putting it in His hand. You are not tied to people. You are tied to God.
I love you and am praying for you. I pray that this lie, this heaviness will lift off of you this very day! Be encouraged. Be blessed, because you are blessed.
