Why KiDs?

Jesus told us to let the little children come
​and I am so glad He did!

I am beyond grateful for the opportunities that I have had working, raising, and enjoying kids! I am honoured, blessed and recharged by the special gifts that they bring. Things like adventure, imagination, faith, wonder at the small things, creativity, forgiveness, grace, softness, and humility to name a few. They are so real and not so shy to let us know their realness!

As you've probably noticed, music has been a significant outlet for me, and I have found that it is something I can do that resonates with a child. I can pull my guitar out and instantly have the attention of kids in the room. This has happened countless times for me in several different settings... at home, camps, schools and churches. And lately, I've even got to co-write with some of our grandkids for the new KiDs Worship Album we are working on. I don't think I've ever had so much fun songwriting!!!

I've watched:

• babies relax to a song of praise
  
• children shout shamelessly while celebrating God's goodness
  
• youth dance while declaring how happy they are in Christ
  
• kids cry as the love of the Father touches their hearts through a song
  
• students respond quietly to the holiness of the Spirit of God
  
• and hearts soften as the Holy Spirit speaks through the music
  

Kids are special. Jesus told us that.
Music is special. It's a gift that God has given us to reach deep into our spirit and touch the heart of Jesus. 

Combine both of these and we have the amazing result that David talked about in Psalm 8, only he suggested that children will silence the work of the enemy through their voice of praise! Oh, their pure, little-big hearts are capable of so much. They lead me in the way of perfect praise!

 Lord our God, the majesty and glory of your name fills all the earth and overflows the heavens. You have taught the little children to praise you perfectly.
May their example shame and silence your enemies!
